Get a head start in business with a Business Administration
Apprenticeship.
We offer Apprenticeships at Level 2 and Advanced Apprenticeships
at Level 3 to people aged 16-24, free of charge.
An apprenticeship consists of 3 strands: an NVQ in Business
Administration; a Technical Certificate in Administration
and Key Skills, which consist of Application of Number and
Communication.
Apprenticeships are offered to people who work in an administrative
role and Advanced Apprenticeships to people who are in a supervisory
role or have responsibility for certain tasks.
Apprenticeships are delivered and achieved on an individual
basis. Each apprentice is assigned an assessor who will guide
them through the apprenticeship and will assess their competence
through a range of methods (direct observation, verbal questioning
and professional discussion). We run off the job training
sessions in our centres during work time. These sessions train
apprentices for the Technical Certificate and individual training
to provide key skills support. Apprentices will develop portfolios
of evidence for the NVQ and key skills with planning, guidance
and full support from their assessor.
Below are some of the units which need to be accomplished
in order to achieve the qualification:
Carry out your responsibilities at work
Work within your business environment
Actions to reduce risks in health and safety
Use IT systems
Manage diary systems
Design and produce documents
Business Administration Apprenticeships will take approximately
12 months and Advanced Apprenticeships 18 months to complete.
