| The
Children’s Care Learning and Development Apprenticeship
is for young people who are already working in a child care
setting and wish to gain a recognised qualification. Practical
experience and quality training are offered to young people
wishing to pursue a career in child care. Child Care Apprenticeships
are designed by specialists within the child care industry
ensuring that the highest quality of care is maintained.
Technical Certificates are part of the Apprenticeship and
form underpinning knowledge through informative training sessions.
We offer off the job training to all learners, either in groups
in our training centres, at their workplace or some learners
prefer a one to one basis where possible.
Key Skills in Application of Number and Communication form
a part of the Apprenticeship and are geared to individual
abilities. We offer extra support for literacy and numeracy
with a specialised tutor if required.
The National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) makes up the
final part of an Apprenticeship. This involves Assessors visiting
on a regular basis to support and observe young people carrying
out day to day practical tasks to ensure their competency.
A level 2 Apprenticeship will usually take 12 – 14
months to complete.
A level 3 Apprenticeship (which is a supervisory role) will
take about 18 – 24 months to complete.
