Gemma's Story
Name: Gemma Gillmore
Age: 19
Qualification: Little J.E.M.s. Jobs, Education,
Money.
I found out I was 6 weeks pregnant and I knew Fareport did
a course for young parents to be, because I used to go to
Fareport to do the e2e programme. I contacted them and they
said to start on this programme straight away. I learnt a
lot from the programme and felt more confident, it helped
me understand what to expect when I gave birth. I understood
what pain relief would be available to me during the birth,
but as it happened I didn’t need anything!
I gave birth to a baby boy and I have named him Logan, he
weighed 8lb exactly. I also learnt about baby aftercare on
the course, I felt confident to bath and feed him and to take
care of his safety.
I enjoyed the programme, I would definitely recommend it
if you find yourself in the same situation as I was. It was
very interesting learning about baby bathing, feeding, dressing
and nappy changing also learning how Logan will develop.
